COMMUNITY PARTNERS
Stronger Together. Building Good Futures.
At Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan, creating opportunity doesn’t happen alone. It happens through partnership—with organizations, educators, employers, and community leaders who share a commitment to helping people build better futures.
Together, we remove barriers, open doors, and create pathways to education, employment, and stability across Southwestern Michigan.
GOOD FUTURES START WITH PARTNERSHIP
Our community partners help expand the reach and impact of our programs—connecting individuals to the resources, training, and support they need to succeed.
Through these collaborations, we’re able to provide:
- Career training and job placement opportunities
- Adult education and GED support
- Family services and childcare resources
- Workforce development for in-demand careers
- Support for individuals facing barriers to employment
When organizations come together, the result is more access, more opportunity, and more lives changed.
OUR PARTNERS IN IMPACT
Education & Training
Working alongside institutions like Kalamazoo Literacy Council, Kalamazoo Valley Community College, and Western Michigan University, we help individuals gain the knowledge and credentials needed to move forward with confidence.
Family & Community Support
Partnerships with organizations such as YWCA Kalamazoo and Southwest Child Care Resources ensure individuals and families have access to essential services that make employment and education possible.
Employment & Workforce Development
Collaborating with partners like the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation and local employers, we help individuals build skills and connect directly to job opportunities across the region.
Veteran Services & Job Training
Through partnerships with employers like USF Holland, Inc., we support veterans and individuals with barriers in finding meaningful, sustainable employment.
FEATURED PARTNERSHIP: WESTERN OUTFITTERS
In partnership with Western Michigan University, Goodwill is proud to support Western Outfitters, a professional clothing program designed to help students succeed.
Through this initiative, students have access to professional attire for interviews, presentations, and career-building opportunities—removing a barrier and building confidence as they enter the workforce.
Goodwill is placing more Broncos in the boardroom.
A COMMUNITY THAT GIVES BACK
These partnerships do more than provide services—they create a cycle of opportunity. When individuals succeed, they strengthen families, workplaces, and neighborhoods across Southwestern Michigan.
Together, we are building Good Futures—and a stronger, more connected community for all.
